Securatex Security Officers have numerous opportunities to participate and be recognized not only by Securatex, but also by its participating clients as well for outstanding client service in several categories. Recognitions will be noted in the employee's personnel file.

List of Awards


Security Officer of the Month

This award recognizes security officers for the extra effort in going above and beyond performance expectations. Listed below are examples of performance that would warrant being nominated for the Security Officer of the Month.

Controlling an escalating situation with minimal or without any individual contact
Preventing a theft of a client's equipment on the client's premises
Preventing, containing or minimizing damage from a fire
Any other specific contribution in the area of quality performance or client service

Site Supervisor of the Month

This award recognizes supervisors for their effort in going above and beyond performance expectations. Listed below are examples of performance that would warrant being nominated for the Site Supervisors of the Month.

Reduction in the overtime rate at site during three consecutive months
Reduction in turnover at the site during three consecutive months
Reduction in call-offs/no-shows during three consecutive months
Recommendation from the client detailing qualifying performance from the Site Supervisor

Account Manager of the Month

This award recognizes and rewards Account Managers for their effort in going above and beyond performance expectations. Listed below are examples of performance that would warrant being nominated for the Account Managers of the Month.

Reduction in the overtime rate at site during three consecutive months
Reduction in turnover at the site during three consecutive months
Reduction in call-offs/no-shows during three consecutive months
Recommendation from the client detailing qualifying performance from the Account Manager

Client Service Supervisor of the Month

This award recognizes Client Service Supervisors for their effort in going above and beyond performance expectations. Client Service Supervisors are not eligible to receive the award more than once in any given quarter. Listed below are examples of performance that would warrant being nominated for the Client Service Supervisors of the Month.

Response time to emergency situations/call offs/no shows
Quality and quantity of Site Inspections and Service Visits during month
Quality and quantity of trainings completed during the month
Recommendation from the client detailing qualifying performance from the Client Service Supervisor

Attendance Awards

This award recognizes and rewards an employee for attendance and punctuality throughout the year. All full-time employees are eligible to earn the Attendance Award. Any full-time employee who has perfect attendance for the quarter or year will receive the designated award. Earned, requested and approved vacation days taken will not affect qualification for perfect attendance. More than one employee can receive this award during any given quarter or year. Employees may also earn this award in consecutive quarters or years. There is no limit as to the number of times an employee can earn this award.

Technology Specialist Award

This award recognizes employees who consistently demonstrate competence in the use of electronic and computer security software systems. All employees with at least 9 months of service are eligible for nomination for the Technology Specialist Award. Technology programs completed outside of work including continuing education, college courses, and workshops may also be factors in the choice of an award recipient. All educational programs must have been completed during the calendar year in which the nominees for the award are being considered.

Exceptional Performance Award

This award recognizes employees who perform specific acts considered to be above and beyond the call of duty. All full-time employees are eligible to earn the Exceptional Performance Award. More than one employee can receive this award during any given quarter or year. Employees may also earn this award in consecutive quarters or years. There is no limit as to the number of times an employee can earn this award. Documentation of Exceptional Performance must be submitted to meet eligibility criteria. Listed below are examples of performance that would warrant being nominated for the Exceptional Performance Award.

Alerting management or authorities of possible dangerous situations
Controlling an escalating situation with minimal or without any individual contact
Preventing a problem from escalating to a serious situation
Serving the client through Exceptional Performance in the performance of his/her duties through documentation of information submitted to their supervisor

Teamwork Award

This award recognizes officers who consistently demonstrate high-level performance working as a team. This award rewards officers for their effort in going above and beyond performance expectations and may be given to several officers or an entire site. Listed below are examples of performance that would warrant being nominated for the Teamwork Award

Demonstrated teamwork responding to an emergency situation at site
Use of the Buddy Team System to minimize call-offs, no-shows and overtime at site
Demonstrated teamwork in solving a problem or making a cost-saving or other significant suggestion.

Security Officer of the Year

This award recognizes and rewards security officers for their effort in going above and beyond performance expectations throughout the year. All security officers are eligible for nomination for the Officer of the Year Award. The Officer of the Year Award nominations must have been nominated for at least one Officer of the Month Award during the current year to be eligible for the Security Officer of the Year Award. Security Officers are not eligible to receive the award two consecutive years.

Investigator of the Year Award

This award recognizes and rewards off-duty officers for their effort in going above and beyond performance expectations throughout the year. Off-Duty Officers are not eligible to receive the award two consecutive years. Listed below are examples of performance that would warrant being nominated for the Off-Duty Officer of the Month.

Controlling an escalating situation with minimal or without any individual contact
Preventing a theft or aiding in apprehending a thief of client's equipment or at the client's premises
Preventing, containing or minimizing damage from a fire
Any other specific contribution in the area of quality performance or client service

Salesperson of the Year-Security Services

This policy rewards the Salesperson of the Year-Security Services award to the Salesperson that has sold the most permanent Security Hours during the calendar year. All full-time Salespeople/Regional Managers are eligible to earn the Salesperson of the Year Award. Hours must be sold/started in the current calendar year. Those sold in one calendar year, but not started until the following, will be eligible in the year the hours started. Permanent hours will be calculated for the year. Temporary hours will be calculated as a dollar volume. Permanent and Temporary hours will all be considered in determining the Salesperson of the Year. If the same salesperson wins both the Salesperson of the Year Award for the Investigative and Security Services sides, then one joint plaque and award will be presented.

Salesperson of the Year-Investigative Services

THIS AWARD rewards the Salesperson of the Year-Investigative Services award to the Salesperson that has sold the most permanent and temporary hour dollar volume of Investigative Hours during the calendar year. All full-time Salespeople/Regional Managers are eligible to earn the Salesperson of the Year Award. Hours must be sold/started in the current calendar year. Those sold in one calendar year, but not started until the following, will be eligible in the year the hours started. Permanent hours will be calculated for the year. Temporary hours will be calculated as a dollar volume. Permanent and Temporary hours will all be considered in determining the Salesperson of the Year. If the same salesperson wins both the Salesperson of the Year Award for the Investigative and Security Services sides, then one joint plaque and award will be presented.

President's Award

This award recognizes employees who present a cohesive working model of an idea and/or concept, which will improve the performance of the organization as a whole. All full-time employees are eligible to receive the Presidents Award.

Educational Achievement Award

This award recognizes an employee for their extra effort in accomplishing educational goals, whether through Securatex advanced level courses or through an institution of higher learning. Employees with at least 9 months of service are eligible for nomination for the Educational Achievement. Award. All nominees must have completed a minimum of two educational programs offered by Securatex, including one voluntary program, and must receive a passing grade of 90 percent or higher on the final exam. Educational programs completed may include continuing education, college courses, and workshop. All educational programs must have been completed during the calendar year in which the nominees for the award are being considered.

Safety Service Award

This award rewards an employee who investigates and recognizes current or potential future safety hazards that could damage client's property, cause harm to Securatex employees, client employees, or visitors. Continuing education, college courses, and workshops related to safety may also be factors in the choice of an award recipient. All educational programs must have been completed during the calendar year in which the nominee for the award is being considered.
Documentation of the safety violation must be submitted on a site incident report along with the nomination form. Below are examples of performance that could warrant being nominated for this award:

Preventing, containing or minimizing damage from a fire
Reporting frayed wiring that could result in a fire from sparks
Discovering a gas leak and taking appropriate action
Making a suggestion that significantly enhances the safety of the client site & personnel, possibly resulting in cost savings as well.

We invite our Clients, Officers, Employees, Supervisors, Managers and Management Team Members to nominate employees for our awards, except when expressly stated within the award criteria. An officer may nominate himself for an award by simply having a signature or accompanying letter from the Client or Securatex supervisor. Please include a brief statement describing the nominee's contribution by using the enclosed recommendation form. Recommendation forms can be sent to the Regional Manager (Director of HR for Office Staff) prior to the last Friday of the month for consideration for the next month's awards.
